SWEATER DESIGN with Mary:

Mary Meyer will share her secrets for designing and sizing your own sweater using any stitch pattern with a regular repeat or plain stockinette with shaping. Also you will have several shoulder and sleeve design choices. There is homework before the beginning of the class. Please knit a 4" x 4" swatch in the pattern of your choice with the needles and yarn you have chosen for your sweater.

KNITTING SOCKS FOR BEGINNERS  Learn the essentials of top down sock construction by knitting a "baby sock" which also works as a Christmas ornament. * Must be comfortable with knit and purl stitches, basic increases and decreases. Experience knitting in the round (such as knitting a hat) is strongly recommended.

Students will learn how to knit in the round on 2 circular needles, short row heel shaping, and grafting. Tips for fitting socks will be included.

1 Skein of sport weight yarn and 2 pairs of #5 US circular needles: 1 - 16"

JOGLESS STRIPES IN THE ROUND - Techniques Class
Grab your double-pointed needles and three colors of dk weight yarn for a techniques class on knitting jogless stripes in the round.  We'll cover barber-pole (helix) stripes and slip-stitch stripes (both stationary and traveling). Students should already be familiar with both knitting on double-pointed needles and with knitting with multiple colors.
