Love the look of cables but have no clue how to make them? Cable charts mystifying? In this first session you will learn to make basic cables using a cable needle and to read charts for the cable pattern. In the second session you will learn how to make cables without a cable needle. Since this is a technique class, you will be knitting swatches and not working on a project.
Skill level - Advanced Beginner (knowledge of knit and purl stitches)
Materials - 200 yards of light to medium worseted weight yarn #7 or #8 needles / cable needle

"ON YOUR TOES" TOE UP SOCKS ON 2 CIRCULAR NEEDLES WITH ANNE

Want to learn how to knit socks but don't want to use DPNs or graft toes? Then here is the sock knitting technique for you. In this class you will learn to knit socks using 2 circular needles, cast on for the toe using Judy's Magic Cast on, make a slip stitich heel and learn an easy stretchy bind off. We will use a toe up sock pattern. Tips for sock fitting will be included.
Materials: 400 yards fingering weight sock yarn,to be purchased from Bella Filati, 2 pair 24" Addi Lace circular needle
Skill level: Intermediate, must know knit and purl stitches, it would be beneficial to know how to increase and decrease and be comfortable reading a pattern.

Itty-Bitty Dangle Earrings
This class instructs you how to use the flat peyote stitch with size 15 delica beads and create a tubular dangle for a great little earring, and of course you will make two of them. Embellish and attach to provided ear wires. Some experience in peyote stitch preferable but not an absolute.

Freeform Peyote Bracelet
Using a button closure and the use of beads of various sizes, shapes, and colors this bracelet will be the talk of your wrist. The shape is funky as you manipulate the different beads to form hills and valleys.
Some experience in Peyote stitch preferable. Bring your favorite button or we will have some available for sale.

Cabochon Brooch
You will provide your favorite cabochon (a domed stone with one flat side, no hole), and we'll provide the rest to attach your stone onto Ultrasuede with clasp. Then the fun begins as we sew peyote stitch or netting to surround your cabochon. Add spikes, seed beads and accent beads that will result in your fabulous brooch.
